Chengdu a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province (hereinafter referred to as "Rong"), also known as Rongcheng and Jincheng, is the capital of Sichuan Province, a sub provincial city, a megacity, a national central city, a core city of the Chengdu Chongqing dual city economic circle, and an important national high-tech industrial base, trade and logistics center and comprehensive transportation hub, as well as an important central city in the western region approved by the State Council.
Chengdu is located in the southwest of China, the west of Sichuan Basin, and the hinterland of Chengdu Plain. The Expo City was born to undertake large high-end exhibition activities. The total exhibition area of the venue is 305,000 m2, The indoor exhibition area is 205,000 m2, including 15 standard exhibition halls and 1 multi-function hall, where 11,000 international standard booths can be set up. The outdoor exhibition area is 100,000 m2, which can be used as the venue for exhibitions, outdoor roadshows, large-scale concerts, opening and closing ceremonies, and large commercial events.
From its initial operation in June 2017 to June 2018, the Expo City successfully undertook 45 exhibition activities with an exhibition area of 1.5 million m2, and was widely favored by the industry, and the exhibition environment was well received by the society.
The Expo City is equipped with sufficient conference rooms, including more than 40 small conference rooms with an area of no more than 150 m²;, 4 medium-sized conference rooms with an area of 300 m², two conference rooms which can be combined into 600 m², 3 large conference rooms with an area of 1,650 m², 1 super-large conference room which can be combined into 3,300 or 5,000 m², 11 VIP rooms, 1 independent VIP room, and 1 news conference hall.
In order to meet the diverse needs of the exhibition activities, the column-free multi-purpose hall can be flexibly set up according to different needs, integrating exhibition, conference, banquet and performances. The column-free multi-purpose hall covers an area of 16,000 m² and can be used as a ballroom of 3,500 people or a conference hall of 7,200 people.

Three dining squares are equipped in the south, north and central areas of the Expo City, covering an area of 12,500 square meters where 6,200 people can dine at the same time. Furthermore, custom catering plans will be made according to the specified scale of exhibition; the catering space can be expanded up to accommodating 80,000 people at a time.
