Hongzhou Medical Degreased Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe is a premium piping solution specifically designed for medical gas delivery systems. Made from high-quality stainless steel and produced using an advanced seamless manufacturing process, each pipe is weld-free with a mirror-smooth interior, effectively eliminating the risk of impurities and bacterial growth. Difference 1: Production Process

Degreased Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe:
In addition to the standard seamless pipe production methods—cold rolling, cold drawing, or hot extrusion—an extra degreasing step is included. Grease, dirt, and oxides are chemically removed from both the inner and outer surfaces, ensuring an exceptionally clean finish. Polishing or passivation may also be applied to further enhance corrosion resistance and surface quality.

Ordinary Industrial Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe:
The production process mainly involves perforation and rolling. Surfaces may show black spots, pitting, or an oxide layer, and thorough cleaning is generally not performed. Testing focuses on mechanical properties, such as compressive strength, rather than surface cleanliness.

Difference 2: Applications

Degreased Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe:
Ideal for applications requiring extremely high cleanliness and corrosion resistance. In the food and pharmaceutical industries, it prevents grease contamination during the transport of liquids or gases. For high-purity chemical transport, it reduces the risk of residues triggering chemical reactions. It is also well-suited for high-purity piping systems in semiconductor cleanrooms.

Ordinary Industrial Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe:
Commonly used for oil and natural gas transportation, mechanical structural components (e.g., drive shafts and hydraulic cylinders), medium- and low-pressure boiler tubes, and general fluid piping.

Difference 3: Cost-efficiency

Degreased Pipe:
The degreasing process requires specialized equipment, such as high-pressure nozzles and ultrasonic cleaners. While initial costs are higher, it reduces the risk of future contamination or accidents.

Pickled Pipe:
Pickling is less expensive initially but requires more frequent maintenance to prevent rust.



Degreased Stainless Steel Pipe – Verified Cleanliness

Our pipes are degreased to ensure ultra-clean inner and outer surfaces. Surface cleanliness can be confirmed through:

UV Light: No grease fluorescence under 320–380 nm.

Wipe Test: No grease left on clean white paper or cloth.

Oil-Free Steam: The pipe is purged with oil-free steam, and condensate is collected in a clean container. A camphor pellet (<1 mm diameter) is placed in the condensate; if it remains intact, the pipe surface passes the test.

Oil Analysis: Surface oil ≤120 mg/m² (per Appendix A).
